A COMPLETE GUIDE TO SEMINYAK

A COMPLETE GUIDE TO SEMINYAK

Located on the West Coast of Bali, in between Kuta and Canggu, Seminyak is a vibrant neighbourhood known for it’s shopping, party scene and iconic beachclubs.

Seminyak is a very busy town and traffic can get pretty crazy here! This is one of the reasons that I skip Seminyak these days BUT the town does offer a lot for people who want to:

  • visit iconic beachclubs

  • party

  • have a shopping spree: there are plenty of beautiful boutiques and spa’s

  • or people who just enjoy being in a vibrant, lively area that offers a lot of great places to eat

For Bali first timers, this can be a fun town to explore tho I wouldn’t stay here longer than 2 nights. But remember, this is just my experience/opinion and everyone is free to stay where and how long they want :)

WHERE TO STAY

M Boutique Hostel Seminyak + Kosta Hostel + Lloyd’s Inn (very cool)

€€ The Island Houses + Villa Kresna Boutique Suites

€€€ Peppers Seminyak + The Legian + The Colony Hotel + for big groups or families Villa Massilia

SEMINYAK BEACH CLUBS

If you’re into fancy beach clubs with (infinity) pools, these are your go-to places:

  • Mano Beach House

  • Potato head Beach club

  • Azul beach club

  • Ku De Ta

  • Finns Beach Club (entrance fee/minimum spending)

  • SugarSand Bali

  • W Bali

  •  707 Beachburm: not a typical beach club, more like a chill, laid back sunsetspot

  • Mrs Sippy: a pool hangout spot (no beach here) with old skool LA vibes. It’s the biggest saltwater swimming pool in Bali with 1, 3 and 5 meter diving platforms. This is where all the instagram models hang out and where a lot of brands organise parties. They serve really good food and drinks but it’s a bit pricy. It’s situated almost next to Potato Head so you can even combine them if you like. Entrance fee is 100.000 Rupiah.

It’s hard to pick just a few stores while there are so many great little boutiques. You can find a lot of great stores at Jalan Raya (main walking street), Jalan Petitenget, Jalan Kayu Ayu and Jalan Kerobokan.

  • Gooseberry Intimates: small but famous lingerie shop (next to La Favela)

  • Rob Peetoom: best hairdresser in Seminyak

  • Paradise Bali shop
