Epic pools in Bali

Bali has some of the most epic and famous pools in the world.

Some of them are part of exclusive hotels and only accessible to hotel guests. BUT many people don’t know most of these pools are open to the public for a (small) entrance fee or even for free!

I’ve listed a few of the most famous, must-see (and some of MY favorite) pools in Bali below!

FOUR SEASONS RESORT, UBUD

Starting off with the craziest one! Unfortunately the pool is only accessible to hotel guests, but I had to add this one to the list.

But keep reading!! All of the ones below are accessible for everyone! ;)

HANGING GARDENS, UBUD

Also known as the most famous pool in Bali.

FREE OR ENTRANCE FEE?

Although the pool is a part of a pretty exclusive hotel, people from outside the hotel can also enjoy the pool when paying a (large) entrance fee: IDR 2.500.000++ / US$ 188++ per person~ (includes use of the pool, welcome drink on arrival and a choice of 3 courses lunch OR 50 minutes ‘Traditional Balinese Massage’)

WANNA JUNGLE POOL & BAR, UBUD

For those who like the design of the Hanging Gardens pool but have a smaller budget, make your way to Wanna Jungle pool and bar. It has a similar design but it’s a bit cheaper.

FREE OR ENTRANCE FEE?

A day pass is  available for outside visitors to swim, chill out and enjoy the resort’s food & beverage facilities.3 different packages are available as from 800.000 IDR. You can find more info here.

JUNGLE FISH, UBUD

Still one of my favorites. Make sure to come early as it’s not very big and they operate on a first-come-first-served basis.

FREE OR ENTRANCE FEE?

You pay a small entrance fee of  350.000 IDR (but it also includes a Food & Beverage credit of IDR 200 000).

MUNDUK MODING PLANTATION, NORTH BALI

You have to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy this pool

ONEEIGHTY AT THE EDGE, ULUWATU

Also one of the most famous pools in Bali with its see -through pool bottom above a huge cliff!

Oneeighty is a clifftop day club celebrating sophisticated beach culture 162 metres above the Indian Ocean. Built alongside a series of cascading ponds, spilling into a jaw-dropping glass-bottom sky pool extending 6 metres over the cliff edge, overlooking the most breathtaking 180° panorama imaginable

You pay an entrance fee to use the pool/enter the day club as from 350000 IDR

LA JOYA BIU BIU, ULUWATU

La Joya Biu Biu is a hotel in Uluwatu. Guests from outside the hotel can also enjoy the pool.

FREE OR ENTRANCE FEE?

You pay a small entrance fee of 150000 IDR, which includes a towel and a sunbed rental

PALMILLA, UNGASAN, MELASTI BEACH

Melasti beach is not my favourite beach at all but recently a pool was added on the beach and has a really cool vibe about it! The design makes you feel like you are in Tulum.

FREE OR ENTRANCE FEE?

Free entry! As long as you get your drinks and food at their bar/kitchen.

THE MONKEY BAR, EAST BALI

A ‘mountain’ beach bar’ with stunning ocean and jungle views

Free entry if you eat at the restaurant that’s next to it

LA BRISA, CANGGU

Although this place is getting really busy and crowded, I think it’s a must do! It’s a breathtaking beachclub at Echo beach, Canggu.Disneyland for grown ups with 2 amazing pools.

KLYF CLUB, NUSA CENINGAN

You can find Klyf Club at the Blue Lagoon Avia Resort in Nusa Ceningan. The pool has a crazy view on the bluest water you’ve ever seen!

AMOK SUNSET, NUSA PENIDA

That view! It’s not a ‘fancy’ spot but the vibes are right and it’s perfect to enjoy the sunset from the pool with a Bintang!

***ALLTIME FAVORITE POOL***

I didn’t add my alltime favorite pool to the list, and trust me, it’s AMAZING! I spend almost half of my Bali trips there. It’s a place with the most spectacular views, NOT crowded and a breathtaking pool. It’s a real hidden gem.
